CMP National Rimfire Sporter Match

Equipment: (Complete rule book link in the PDF above.)

7.5 # maximum rifle weight with sights. (Min. 3# trigger weight)

100 rounds .22 long rifle rimfire ammo (Sixty rounds minimum plus unlimited sighting rounds)

Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI), Eye and Ear protection are required.

Open (O) or Telescopic (T) sight categories (Aperture sights compete in T class)

'Tactical rimfire' rifles compete in the T class.

Maximum 6X Telescopic sights (or adjusted to 6X)

Spotting scopes & shooting mat or ground cloth are permitted

Standard leather or web sling (no wider than 1.25 inches) & 'Work' gloves are permitted

Not permitted: Shooting coats, shooting trousers, shooting gloves, bipods or 'sandbags'

0. Sighting 50 yd 10 min unlimited sighters

1. Prone Precision 50 yd 10 min 10 shots

2. Prone Rapid 50 yd 25-30 sec 5 shots (stand & repeat)

3. Sitting or Kneeling Precision 50 yd 10 min 10 shots

4. Sitting or Kneeling Rapid 50 yd 25-30 sec 5 shots (stand & repeat)

5. Standing Precision 25 yd 10 min 10 shots

6. Standing Rapid 25 yd 25-30 sec 5 shots (reposition & repeat)

Registration fees: (Checks payable to SRPA, or exact change at registration)

$10.00 Range Fee for everyone

Signed CMP Parent/Guardian Consent Form required for Junior Participants (Minimum age 12)
Children under 12 may compete when paired with a parent/guardian. All children MUST demonstrate safe rifle handling ability prior to the match.

Awards: (Anyone registered is eligible to compete for SRPA awards)

SRPA: High Shooter Awards in each Category having more than one competitor

CMP: Gold/Silver/Bronze awards (Cutoff scores established at Camp Perry 2010)

A CMP eligibility affidavit and liability release is required for all competitors over 18 to compete for national awards.

Optional Training Clinic: (Curriculum developed by Gary Anderson, CMP Director Emeritus)

Starts promptly at 9:30 am in SRPA clubhouse. Please arrive early to register.

Free for all competitors and SRPA members ($5 for nonmembers, if not competing)
