Precision Pistol

Precision Pistol is an accuracy sport. It will challenge your pistol skills on targets 25 yards and 50 yards away. Precision Pistol is all about shooter technique and careful shot placement. Our matches are informal. Scores are not posted or submitted to the NRA. The goal is a relaxed environment for shooters to enhance their skills and enjoy themselves in the process. Precision Pistol was once known as Bullseye Pistol. The game is the same; only the name has changed.

On a given day we shoot three, thirty round matches. Each match has three stages which are slow, timed and rapid fire. When you register you may choose the .22 Rimfire only or the 3-gun category. .22 Rimfire only means you fire a .22 Rimfire for all three matches. 3-gun means you fire a .22 Rimfire for match one, a centerfire for match two and a .45 for match three. Since a .45 is a centerfire, many people use a .45 for the centerfire match.

Strictly speaking, Precision Pistol is shot single-handed. If you wish to shoot with both hands or if you don’t have just the right guns, join us anyway. It only means you aren’t eligible for any prize money. The money isn’t lucrative anyway, you may get some or all of your entry fee back.
