Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association hosted a weekend trap shooting clinic for nine youth and two coaches from Tekoa, Washington (south of Spokane) as part of the Scholastic Clay Target Program.
Saturday had two hours of class time and five hours of shooting. The kids shot 1600 targets on Saturday.
Sunday had an hour of class time and then a shoot-off for a Championship Buckle.
Everyone had a blast putting this event on. Many thanks to Mike K., Ken L., Chadd B., Fred B., Randy, Susa, and Jim.
Randy said, "Everyone involved did a fantastic job, and made me proud to be the President of the club. Well done everyone."
Two more events in the McMurtry Shoot series have been completed. The weather has been holding out, and we've seen some great scores.
The competition will resume on Saturday, February 23th, at Granite Falls. The awards banquet BBQ will be immediately after the event, so be sure to stick around.

The McMurtry Shoot event scheduled to take place at our club will be held on February 16th. This change is due to the memorial service for Robert "Bob" Erickson, a longtime PITA shooter and a member of the Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association.

The first event in the McMurtry Shoot series was held on Saturday the 11th at Granite Falls. The weather was great, but shooting conditions were tough. Greg told me that he thought, "a score of 40 will win it". As you can see below, he was right!

Old Skagit will not be able to host an event this year, so the events have been reorganized between Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association, Kenmore, and Granite Falls. See the Calendar for new event details.
The smallbore silhouette matched scheduled for 12/16/2018 has been canceled.
